I love to go camping, and so does my family. We are always looking for a new place to go. So I started looking around at a lot of different places. And the thought of the Smokey Mountains, in Tennessee just gave me chills, they are so beautiful, and the wild life that we could see is just out of this world. So I thought I would do a little searching to see what I could come up with.
Right away I thought of Pigeon Forge, everyone always told me how beautiful it is down there, so I did some research. And they are right everything I found on Pigeon Forge is beautiful. So I thought I would share some of the information. So here is a little history about Pigeon Forge, and some things to do, during your stay In a pigeon Forge camp ground ( if you ever get the chance to go ). Camping is the way to go, because not only do you have all the attraction to see and do, there are also outdoor attraction to do also.
How Pigeon Forge Inquired it's name
The name Pigeon Forge came from an Iron Forge built in the 1820s, by a gentleman named Issac Love. The name of the Forge referred to the location along the Little Pigeon River. Which is now called the Old Mill. The river got it's name because of the Passenger Pigeons that frequented the banks at the time the first Euro-American settlers arrived.
